The Canada Palestine Cultural Foundation is a community of Palestinians, Canadians, and friends building a home for our heritage in Ottawa — through music, tatreez, dabke, language, food, and the simple act of gathering.
The Canada Palestine Cultural Foundation (CPCF) was born in Ottawa from a simple conviction: that Palestinian culture — its songs, embroidery, poetry, recipes, and dialects — is not a relic to be preserved behind glass, but a living tradition to be passed hand to hand, generation to generation, here in Canada.
We work alongside sister organizations across Ottawa and Canada to host gatherings, build programming for youth and families, and create the spaces where Palestinian-Canadian identity can be celebrated openly, joyfully, and without apology.
Weekly dabke practice, oud and qanun circles, and seasonal performances that fill Ottawa halls with the rhythm of home.
Intergenerational embroidery circles preserving the regional stitches of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Gaza, Hebron and beyond.
Saturday classes for children and adult learners, blending Palestinian dialect with classical Arabic literacy.
Maqluba nights, za'atar mornings, and recipe-swap potlucks where elders share the meals — and stories — of their villages.
After-school cultural mentorship, summer cultural camp, and a youth council shaping the next chapter of the Foundation.
Co-produced events with sister organizations across Ottawa and Canada — building one ecosystem, many voices.
We are part of a wider Palestinian-Canadian community. CPCF works in partnership with the organizations doing essential cultural, athletic, and advocacy work — because no single foundation can carry this alone.
The Arab-Palestinian Association of the Capital region — a long-standing community pillar uniting Ottawa-area Palestinians through advocacy, culture, and mutual support.
An annual community run uniting families and allies in a celebration of resilience, raising awareness and funds for Palestinian causes.
A national network coordinating Palestinian-Canadian voices across provinces — amplifying our collective work on culture, justice, and community.
Membership is how the Foundation grows. Every name on our roll is a voice in our programming, a hand in our gatherings, and a seat at our table.
Whether you are Palestinian by birth, by heritage, by marriage, or by solidarity — you are welcome here. Membership is free for our first year as we build the community.
An afternoon of embroidery with elder teachers from the community. All skill levels welcome — supplies provided. Tea and ma'amoul served.
